Allison Cares

We encourage global employees to seek out volunteer opportunities that positively impact their communities, and the Allison Cares portal helps employees create individual, group, in-person or virtual volunteering events. Allison has enabled all salaried employees to have eight hours of volunteering time off during working hours each year.

Inclusion and Diversity Executive Council

The I+D Executive Council exists to provide leadership advice, analyze progress of the inclusion and diversity strategy and ensures alignment with the business strategy. Allison Transmission CEO David Graziosi serves as Chair of the I+D Executive Council.

Multicultural Employee Resource Group

The Allison Multicultural ERG exists to cultivate a climate of respect and understanding in our workplace to support talent acquisition strategy that includes and portrays to prospective employees that Allison values inclusion and diversity.

Embracing Multiculturalism

All Allison employees are welcome to join our Multicultural ERG to gain a new understanding of their coworkers and company leaders. The group holds regular events and discussions surrounding different cultures, languages and faiths. This group is a great opportunity to meet new people who work in all areas across our company.

Celebration and Connection 

Allison is proud to celebrate National History and Heritage months that honor the diverse cultures in our workplace. The Multicultural ERG hosts cultural events and welcomes local nonprofit organizations in recognition of the corresponding heritage celebration.  

Veterans Employee Resource Group

The Allison Veterans ERG exists to challenge, develop and grow the company’s Veteran workforce to positively influence our business and culture.

A Community of Service Members 

All Allison employees are welcome to join our Veterans ERG to gain a new understanding of their coworkers and company leaders, fostering a supportive network that enhances their professional and personal growth. Additionally, the ERG actively contributes to veteran-related volunteer efforts in our community.

Goals and Contributions

The Veterans ERG helps the company’s broader goal to drive the recruitment, professional development, and retention of veterans, ensuring they have fulfilling careers at Allison. A notable stride Allison has made in support of veterans is its leadership role in the creation of InVets — an organization that connects veterans with career opportunities in Indiana's manufacturing and logistics fields. As co-founders, Allison has significantly contributed to the success of InVets over the years, helping thousands of veterans and transitioning service members across the state.

In 2022, Allison received the Pro Patria Award from the Indiana Committee for Employer Support to the Guard and Reserve, an award presented to employers who demonstrate exceptional support for our national defense by adopting leadership practices and personnel policies which make it easier for employees to serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

 

 

Emerging Professionals Employee Resource Group

The Allison Emerging Professionals ERG exists to connect, develop and empower Allison’s emerging professionals. 

Professional Connection 

Whether an Allison employee is in the first or final years of their career, the Emerging Young Professionals ERG offers the opportunity to connect with coworkers from across the company. The group fosters career development by providing professional mentorship and advice in a comfortable environment. Through the ERG’s networking and showcasing events, members gain a greater understanding of the company and industry.  

Membership Opportunities

Emerging Professionals ERG members are invited to regularly scheduled events like networking opportunities with Allison senior leadership, speaker series, community service days and social outings. In addition to getting exposure to all aspects of Allison’s business, members of this ERG receive a membership to IndyHub.

 

Health and Wellness

At Allison Transmission, we are proud to offer a total rewards program that supports the well-being of our employees, their families and our community. We offer access to comprehensive healthcare plans and an on-site employee assistance program to help employees live healthy and balanced lives. 

Allison Wellness

Allison Transmission offers a voluntary wellness program called Virgin Pulse as an integral part of our employees' medical plan. This comprehensive health program focuses on prevention as well as daily healthy habits, identifying gaps in care and assisting with disease management.
