Allison Transmission to Exhibit at Entreprenad Live Alongside TATRA Agency Cordestam Maskin AB
GOTHENBURG, Sweden, August 2023 – Allison and Cordestam Maskin AB, general agent for TATRA off road trucks and BELL dumpers, will offer trade show attendees the opportunity to test drive an Allison-equipped TATRA truck, showcasing the vehicle's remarkable capabilities to navigate challenging terrains comfortably, at the Entreprenad Live trade show September 7 to 9 at Gothenburg Landvetter.
Cordestam Maskin AB serves a variety of industries including road construction, wind energy and above-ground mining. Cordestam Maskin AB has represented BELL dumpers since 2000. and TATRA trucks since 2015. Tatra has been supported with fully automatic transmission solutions, aftermarket services and spare parts for their vehicle platforms through NIMDA, Allison Transmission’s Authorized Distributor for the Czech Republic since 2007.
“It is our first time participating in Entreprenad Live, and it is our first trade show since the pandemic. We have previously taken part in shows located farther north but now hope to connect with customers and contacts in the south, whom we typically do not reach,” said Robert Cordestam, Sales Representative at Cordestam Maskin AB. “Alongside Allison Transmission, we are looking forward to showcasing our offerings.”
“After the new model series of dumpers was introduced in 2013, we needed another product that could load and perform well off road while being suitable for regular roads. That is when we discovered TATRA trucks and started working with them,” said Cordestam. “It has been a highly appreciated transport solution, and we are excited to have a TATRA Phoenix 8x8 with us at Entreprenad Live. Through test drives on the track, people can have an 'aha' moment, as many are surprised by how well these vehicles can navigate challenging terrains, all while providing a comfortable driving experience. Showcasing this is the foundation of why we participate in trade shows.”
“It is also a natural choice for us to co-exhibit with Allison Transmission. Throughout the years, we have always offered Allison as an option for the vehicles we sell. We view Allison’s transmission as a premium option due to its efficiency,” said Cordestam. “We have observed the difference when identical vehicles had different transmissions – the vehicle with Allison is faster and delivers more power. Additionally, it is fully automatic, making it more user-friendly and enjoyable for drivers to operate.”
“We have had a great partnership with Cordestam for many years and have exhibited at trade shows with them before. It has always worked well, and we are hoping for many curious visitors at the booth and on the test track,” said Mats Hallgren, Area Sales Manager Nordics at Allison. “Their decision to expand geographically is only positive, as there are significant parts of Sweden that are not yet fully aware of what the combination of TATRA trucks and our transmissions can actually offer. This will be exciting to showcase.”
